Sunhead of 1617 Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of the city on the Herengracht, Amsterdam's most central and most prestigious canal. Our house was built in 1617, making it one of the oldest buildings of the Herengracht and a national monument. The name of our B&B 'Sunhead' is derived from the gable stone which features a bright, smiling sunhead an original feature of the building, the sunhead was rediscovered in 1993. Recommended by the Michelin Guide 2010.
